SPAWN
pANARCHY spawns you in at 0’0 on a small desert island. The 4 main axis roads from the island tell you that North is to Heartland, South is to the Old World, East is to the Seas of Waste and West is to the Badlands.
Choose wisely, for each road is very hazardous and brutal. However, hope is on the distant horizon as once you exit spawn you will find sanctuary and abundance on the outskirts of the world.
(Update: As of November 2024, Spawn is now covered in lava casts and corpses after the infamous war with Synful and the 2b2t Spawn Masons).
After you exit spawn, and before you reach Sanctuary at World’s Edge, you must first pass through a vast area between Spawn and Sanctuary known as The Drift.
The Drift is a mostly oceanic world, with large landmasses and small islands scattered throughout. It has an abundance of supplies and is a generally survivable wasteland, if not remote and lonely. Once you pass 55K (110K square) you have officially exited spawn and have reached the Sanctuaries.
Should you escape spawn, then you will establish your base somewhere in The Drift or in the outer Sanctuaries. From here you will attack spawn and ensure new arrivals on the map have difficulty escaping to The Drift.
This is a mean and nasty map, and we want spawn escape to remain a privilege. Roads out of spawn will be routinely destroyed.
Once you have established your base and your attack patterns into spawn, you may read on to the pANARCHY Games and Quests section, where the on-going hunt for valuable items on pANARCHY form a large part of our lifestyle on the map. You may search for multiple Diamond Pans, Slime Pans, Netherite Pans, Gold Pans, Supply depots, Islands of Books, Castles with End Portals and more to ensure that you have OP advantages on pANARCHY.
ORIGINS OF pANARCHY
pANARCHY server was born out of 2b2t Goliath Leader Pan’s vision of a truly inescapable Anarchy Spawn.
The Beginnings
Pan began playing 2b2t in August 2024 and he was dismayed by how easy escaping spawn was. After a few attempts, Pan escaped spawn (with no hacks, and in vanilla) and established Pan’s Island within 7K of 0’0.
Pan’s Island remained unmolested for a month until his group Goliath began the 2024 Goliath Incursion into 2b2t spawn. At this point Pan’s Island was wasted by enemies and is now a cratered island.
You can read about Pan’s journey on 2b2t via his reddit history here
After establishing Pan’s Island, Pan soon began generating, on foot, 20K of 2b2t spawn via world downloader. This took about a month and was a grueling task. Pan then began experimenting with Minecraft mapping in MCA Selector and, before long, he had amassed a giant collection of anarchy spawn world downloads from many different servers (maps numbering in the hundreds).
Pan began using his extensive background in visual arts and game modding/mapping to create a truly horrific 404K overworld map for pANARCHY. The spawn Pan has created is nothing short of demented. Everything is exaggerated, everything is more dangerous, everything is more relentless and hardcore.
Pan’s concentrated and destroyed spawn, alone, is a 60K monstrosity. Players must reach beyond 30K in any direction before they may begin to find refuge.
pANARCHY’s map is Pure Minecraft Sadism.
The Road to Release for pANARCHY
After completing an early version of the pANARCHY overworld, Pan decided to release his monster map to his 2b2t Goliath crew as a private server, upon encouragement from Zebra (Goliath Senior Member).
As the idea took hold, Pan began to discuss the idea for a large server with Senior Goliath members Ghost of Goliath, Disciple of Pan (Synful), Jet, JustADude, KingSoft, Arch Bishop of Pan-turbury (Spettrocat), BoatBoi, Dappi, Elder Guardian of Goliath and Employee 404.
It was decided that pANARCHY map should be publicly released as a hardcore vanilla Anarchy minecraft server with a giant concurrent player cap. Concentrated at 110K, the plan was to slowly expand into the 404K map in time (current world size as of March 2025 is 242,422).
Pan secured a 192gb RAM server based in East USA and began finalising his map for public release. Pan decided that he will block the Nether to make spawn escape even harder, but a large custom End Dimension will be included. Travel to the End can be achieved via hidden End Castles in the pANARCHY overworld. (Update: Nether has been officially opened as of Jan 2025)
Pan and Goliath Admin decided that pANARCHY should be played in Vanilla, the same way Pan first experienced 2b2t (Hacking is allowed, but we have a strong AC). This makes Minecraft Anarchy more intense, more immersive and more skills-based than other Anarchy servers. Pan has decided that hacking interferes with immersion and that pANARCHY will stand as a different experience to 2b2t, 9b9t and Constantiam.
(Update March 2025 - A strong AC has been installed and p-anarchy admin will work hard to ensure that no game breaking behaviors occur (lag machines etc). Generally speaking, we never ban anyone unless it’s a rare and severe case, such as illegal doxing and misinformation (Player Vapecats is our first, and only, permanent ban from the discord and reddit. He is not banned from the server).
pANARCHY has a corpse mod which leaves a player head at the death location. This is so a history of the dead will be permanently strewn across the map for the viewing pleasure of all those who walk the land. Players die with items within their corpse head, and these items can usually be recovered upon finding your head (update: this has been patched so that no items can be recovered from dead heads - players were stacking items in their heads like locked chests and it was too overpowered).
A house rule is we ask that you don’t interfere with the dead and you let the corpses lie where they fall. If you must strip a corpse of items, then we ask you build a small gravesite for your player - a small cobble cross with a sign and player name will suffice. You’ll see plenty of images of how we build the graves when you read on to the Obituaries section.
